Jury Finds James O'Hara Guilty in Death Penalty Case

James O'Hara, 34, remained emotionless as the verdict was read on Saturday, November 1, 2008. The jury found him guilty of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, burglary and grand theft auto after deliberating nearly 14 hours. O'Hara was responsible for the stabbing death of Stanley Lawson in his Middletown apartment. Following the murder, O'Hara took electronics and other items from Lawson's apartment, and his car, which he attempted to sell for drugs. O'Hara is eligible for the death penalty. The penalty phase of the trial is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
