Patrick Fincel Sentenced to 15 Years for Molesting 3 Children

Fifty-three year old Patrick Fincel of Franklin, Ohio was sentenced to fifteen years in prison today for molesting three children. The children, all female siblings, were abused by Fincel in July and November 2007. Fincel, a family friend, was helping the family after the children’s father fell ill with cancer when the abuse occurred. Fincel pled guilty in December of 2008 to one count of Rape and two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition. Detectives Hung Tri-Rudolf and Ken Hardin of the Butler County Sheriff's Office and Detectives Fred Shuemake and Janice Jones of the Middletown Police Department conducted a joint investigation that resulted in Fincel being brought to justice. “What a friend, to prey on a sick friend’s children. Prison is too good for this child molester. Hopefully, he never sees another day of freedom. We thank God these detectives did a first-rate job and took this pedofile off the streets,” Prosecutor Piper stated. By virtue of his conviction, Fincel is a Tier III offender requiring him to report to the local sheriff upon his release from prison every ninety-days for the rest of his life.
