Steven Toy Sentenced to 11 Years for Kidnap and Rape

(HAMILTON, OH) Steven Toy, age 41, of West Chester, Ohio, was sentenced to 11 years in prison today for the rape and kidnaping of a sixteen year old female. Toy was convicted by a jury on April 13, 2009, after four hours of deliberation.

Toy had taken his victim, whom he had known since she was seven, to his semi-truck parked in West Chester after buying her dinner. He subsequently bound the young woman’s hands and raped her, keeping her tied up for several hours. The victim was able to escape and get help from police after Toy left the scene in another vehicle.

“The jury’s verdict allowed this violent predator to be taken off the streets. While the case was extremely disturbing, thankfully, this young lady came forward and told what happened. If she hadn’t escaped from his custody, we would have feared for her life. Its over and we won’t have to worry about Toy hurting anyone else for at least 11 years,” Prosecutor Piper stated.
